How much steam do you need?
Work out the steam load from your process, then get the Neotech boiler that covers it and the cost to run it on every fuel.
How this is worked out
Heat load = mass × specific heat × temperature rise ÷ time. For a batch, kcal/hr = litres × SG × Cp × (T2 − T1) × 60 ÷ minutes × vessels. For a flowing liquid, kcal/hr = L/hr × SG × Cp × ΔT. For an electric heater, kcal/hr = kW × 860. For a fired heater, kcal/hr = fuel/hr × NCV × 85 %.
Steam required (rated "from & at 100 °C", the basis of every Neotech rating) = heat load × (1 + losses) × (1 + margin) ÷ 540 kcal/kg.
Model selection: first the families that burn your fuel and reach your pressure (Revotech & Minimatic to 15 kg/cm², Nanomatic to 4 kg/cm², 6 on demand); then the smallest model whose rated output covers the requirement. Above 1,000 kg/hr the tool splits the load across identical Revotech units.
Fuel cost = heat load ÷ (NCV × efficiency). NCV: HSD 10,400 kcal/kg, LDO 10,200, FO 9,600, NG 8,600 kcal/SCM, LPG 11,500 kcal/kg, electricity 860 kcal/kWh. Efficiency 88 % for fired boilers, 98 % for electric. Liquid fuels are converted to litres at 0.83 / 0.87 / 0.95 kg/L.
All results are indicative. Final selection is confirmed by Neotech engineers after a site review.
