Size your hot water system
Hot water or process water to 120 °C: compare a Riello-fired Neohydrics generator with an industrial heat pump, side by side, at your own fuel prices.
How this is worked out
Heat load: daily kcal/hr = litres/day × ΔT ÷ run hours; continuous kcal/hr = L/hr × ΔT; tank heat-up kcal/hr = litres × ΔT ÷ hours. 1 kW = 860 kcal/hr.
Fired option: Neohydrics NHI / NHG (to 90 °C) or, for pretreatment tanks up to 5,000 L at 75 °C, Neo Hot. Smallest model at or above load × (1 + margin).
Heat pump option: SE-HT up to 80 °C. Capacity is interpolated between published ratings at 60, 70 and 80 °C water (20 °C ambient), and COP is read from the published SE-HT performance map at your design ambient and outlet temperature. 80–95 °C → SE-SHT (COP ≈ 2.3); 95–120 °C → SE-UHT cascade (COP ≈ 2.2–2.5). Below 60 °C, Sunniva's commercial range is usually the better fit.
Running cost = load ÷ (NCV × efficiency): diesel 88 % (10,400 kcal/kg, 0.83 kg/L), LPG 88 % (11,500 kcal/kg), PNG 88 % (8,600 kcal/SCM), electric 98 %. Heat pump = kW heat ÷ COP × ₹/kWh.
