Heat load–

Running cost per day

How this is worked out

From air flow: kcal/hr = m³/hr × 1.2 kg/m³ × 0.24 kcal/kg·°C × (T2 − T1).

From moisture: water evaporated = feed × (Mi − Mf) ÷ (100 − Mf) kg/hr, on a wet basis. Heat = water × 650 kcal/kg ÷ dryer efficiency. 650 kcal/kg covers latent heat plus warming the water.

Selection: oil / gas → Technodry Block TDB I / TDB G (150 °C standard, up to 400 °C on request, direct-fired to 800 °C); solid fuel → Technodry Block SF (200 °C). Smallest model at or above load × (1 + losses) × (1 + margin).

Fuel cost at 88 % efficiency for oil / gas and 70 % for solid fuel.
